Setting Analysis of a Study in Emerald

Om Thakar  Professor Macquarrie  English 1120 4 April 2024  Setting Analysis of A Study in Emerald  The setting within literature serves as a component for establishing tone and characters with backgrounds. Mainly, the setting serves as the primary place where the narrative unfolds. In essence, the setting functions as a catalyst for contextualizing the text, and characters and their motives. In addition, a setting contributes to the cultivation of a mood that is in line with the narrative trajectory (Rhode). For example, a dark and stormy night may evoke feelings of unease among readers, as opposed to a sunny shoreline. Economic Development Outlook in Ethiopia  Om Thakar  University of Ottawa  ENG1100 Professor Bailey  April 9th 2024  Economic development outlook in Ethiopia This essay examines the economic landscape of Ethiopia and the challenges it confronts and anticipates in the future. Economic Development in Africa Research proposal

DEVELOPMENT IN AFRICA  Economic Development in Africa  Om Thakar  University of Ottawa  ENG1100 DEVELOPMENT IN AFRICA  This proposal is to explore the outlook for development in Africa. There are four measures of development: social, economic, environmental, and political (Cool Geography, n.d.). Countries will have differing standards for each measure, making it hard to compare social development with other countries. In addition, some countries may lack development in economic and political measures, but they could be solid in social and environmental measures. Thus, it is difficult to accurately explore the development of Africa. Instead of using Ethiopia as an example and picking economic measures of development, it can be used as a basis for expansion. Ethiopia cannot define all aspects of development in all African countries; however, it will give a basic idea of the economic development of Ethiopia at its current rate. The economy relies on many thin...

Learning Exchange 2

https://www.proquest.com/docview/2316704064/CFD6267E5B4D4331PQ/6?accountid=14701   This article highlights the importance of one of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals which is climate action. The level of microplastics is evident in the majority of water, alcohol and other liquids they tested. In addition, the level of CO2 in the environment is also cause for concern in terms of global warming. Companies and entrepreneurs have started businesses to combat these issues, such as a certification for plastic-free beer and a flour-like substance that absorbs CO2. Entrepreneurship is something we talked about in this class and how if there is an issue there is a solution and the option to start a business using the solution. In addition, this relates well to me and other classmates because ignoring climate action affects us all and with this added issue there is also the path to create a business venture and opens the door for young entrepreneurs such ...
